Enerpac PA Series air hydraulic pumps provide a compact compressed-air-powered hydraulic source for single-acting cylinders and other hydraulic applications. The series includes treadle-operated pumps with different pressure, hydraulic flow and usable oil capacities for matching the pump to the requirements of the hydraulic system.
PA Series pumps are commonly used as air hydraulic foot pumps, allowing the operator to control hydraulic operation through the pump treadle while keeping their hands available for positioning or controlling the work.
Enerpac PA133, PA166 and PA1150 Air Hydraulic Pumps
The Enerpac PA133, PA166 and PA1150 are air hydraulic pumps designed for high-pressure hydraulic operation. At 100 psi air pressure, Enerpac specifies approximately 40 in³/min oil flow at no hydraulic load and 8 in³/min at 10,000 psi.
Usable oil capacity differs between the models. The PA133 provides approximately 36 in³ of usable oil, the PA166 approximately 72 in³ and the PA1150 approximately 80 in³. Select the pump with sufficient usable oil capacity for the connected cylinder stroke and total hydraulic system volume.
Enerpac PA135 and PA136 Air Hydraulic Pumps
The PA135 and PA136 are compact treadle-operated air hydraulic power pumps designed for single-acting hydraulic applications.
The PA135 provides a maximum hydraulic pressure of 5,000 psi and maximum no-load oil flow of approximately 60 in³/min. The PA136 provides a maximum hydraulic pressure of 3,000 psi and maximum no-load oil flow of approximately 120 in³/min.
Because these models differ significantly in pressure and flow capability, select between them according to the operating pressure and cylinder speed required by the application.
PA133R Air Hydraulic Pump
This collection also includes the Enerpac PA133R. Specifications and configuration should be confirmed on the individual product page before selecting this model because PA Series configurations can differ in operating characteristics and supplied components.
How to Choose a PA Series Air Hydraulic Pump
Select the pump according to the requirements of the connected hydraulic equipment rather than model number alone.
- Maximum hydraulic pressure: Confirm that the selected PA pump provides the working pressure required by the cylinder or tool.
- Oil flow: Higher hydraulic flow generally produces faster cylinder movement when other system variables remain equal.
- Usable oil capacity: The pump must provide sufficient hydraulic oil to fully operate the connected cylinder or cylinders.
- Air supply: Verify that the available compressed-air system meets the operating requirements of the selected pump.
- Control requirements: Consider how the treadle and valve functions integrate with the way the hydraulic system must be operated.
