Enerpac HP Series hydraulic hand pumps feature sealed oil reservoirs designed for portable hydraulic applications where pump orientation, fluid containment and contamination control are important. The range includes HP350, HP550 and HP1000 pumps with usable oil capacities from 18.3 to 67.7 in³.
All HP Series pumps use two-speed operation and are rated for hydraulic systems up to 10,000 psi. Depending on the model, they are available in single-port, twin-port and double-acting configurations, with selected single-port and twin-port models available with ATEX certification for hazardous-area applications.
Choose the Right HP Series Pump Size
The primary difference between the HP350, HP550 and HP1000 families is usable oil capacity. Match reservoir capacity to the hydraulic oil volume required by the cylinder, tool or system being operated.
- HP350: 18.3 in³ usable oil capacity for compact hydraulic systems and lower oil-volume requirements.
- HP550: 35.4 in³ usable oil capacity for applications requiring additional hydraulic volume.
- HP1000: 67.7 in³ usable oil capacity for larger cylinders, tools and higher-volume hydraulic systems.
Two-Speed Hydraulic Hand Pump Operation
HP Series pumps use a two-speed pumping system. The first stage moves a larger volume of hydraulic oil at lower pressure to advance the tool more quickly. As system pressure increases, the pump transitions to the high-pressure stage for operation up to 10,000 psi.
Across the HP350, HP550 and HP1000 families, Enerpac specifies a first-stage pressure of 197 psi, with oil displacement of 0.221 in³ per stroke in the first stage and 0.047 in³ per stroke in the high-pressure stage.
Single-Port HP Series Hand Pumps
Models ending in S are single-port pumps intended for one single-acting hydraulic circuit. Examples include HP350SMIN, HP550SMIN and HP1000SMIN.
These pumps include a hydraulic pressure gauge and adaptor and are suited for applications where one single-acting cylinder or hydraulic tool is being operated.
Twin-Port HP Series Hand Pumps
Models ending in D use twin hydraulic output ports for operating two single-acting hydraulic circuits from one pump. Examples include HP350DMIN, HP550DMIN and HP1000DMIN.
Twin-port models are useful when two compatible hydraulic tools need to be pressurized from the same hand-pump assembly.
Double-Acting HP Series Hand Pumps
Models ending in SD are designed for double-acting hydraulic tools. These pumps provide hydraulic control in both directions rather than relying on spring or load return.
Available models include HP350SDMIN, HP550SDMIN and HP1000SDMIN.
ATEX-Certified HP Series Pumps
Selected HP Series single-port and twin-port pumps are available in ATEX-certified versions for use in designated hazardous environments. These models use the EX designation, including HP350SMINEX, HP350DMINEX, HP550SMINEX, HP550DMINEX, HP1000SMINEX and HP1000DMINEX.
If ATEX certification is required for the application, select the specific EX model rather than assuming every HP Series pump carries the same certification.
Sealed Reservoir Design
A major advantage of the HP Series is the sealed reservoir. Enerpac designed these pumps to operate at different angles while reducing the risk of hydraulic oil leakage and air entering the system. This makes them particularly useful for field service, bolting and portable hydraulic work where the pump may not remain horizontal during operation.
HP1000DSTD Hydraulic Hand Pump Kit
The HP1000DSTD combines the HP1000D twin-port sealed hand pump with additional hydraulic equipment packaged as a complete kit. It is intended for users who need a ready-to-use twin-port hydraulic setup rather than the pump alone.
