The Enerpac CATS30 is a tilt saddle for 20-30 ton RAC-series cylinders, and 30 ton RAR-series cylinders. It tilts up to 5 degrees to keep full contact with a load that is not square to the cylinder.
Side load is one of the most common causes of cylinder damage. It can happen even with a vertical load when the cylinder is extended a long way, especially with long-stroke cylinders, or when the saddle does not sit flat on the load. A tilt saddle increases contact with the load and helps protect the cylinder. Enerpac CATS tilt saddles bolt to the cylinder, so they can be used safely in any orientation without falling off.
