The Enerpac CST271 is a single-acting, spring-return threaded body cylinder from the CST series, rated 380 lb at 5,000 psi with a 0.24 in stroke. Its .500-20 UNF body thread lets you screw it straight into a fixture or bracket and set the plunger height exactly, which makes it a compact choice for positioning, holding and ejecting parts where space is tight.

Effective area is 0.08 in² and a full stroke uses 0.02 in³ of oil. The CST271 is 1.65 in long retracted and 1.89 in extended and weighs 0.2 lb. Workholding circuits often run below 5,000 psi; at 2,000 psi this cylinder gives about 160 lb of force and at 3,000 psi about 240 lb.

Before you order: The return spring needs at least 580 psi to overcome, so set your circuit above that; use a 3-way valve or a single-acting workholding circuit; mounting flanges and flange nuts for the .500-20 UNF thread are sold separately.
