HF104 Enerpac Hydraulic Oil is the 55-gallon drum size of Enerpac HF Series hydraulic fluid. It is the largest HF oil package currently listed by Enerpac and contains the same ISO VG 32 blue hydraulic oil used in HF100, HF101 and HF102.
Bulk HF Series Hydraulic Oil for Powered Pumps
HF104 provides the HF formulation in a drum-sized quantity rather than the smaller quart, gallon or five-gallon packages. The formulation is intended for powered hydraulic pumps and is designed to combine hydraulic power transmission with lubrication, heat transfer and protection of internal pump components.
Enerpac specifies a high viscosity index for HF oil so the fluid maintains more consistent viscosity as temperature changes. This matters because hydraulic fluid that is excessively thin can increase internal leakage and wear, while fluid that is excessively thick can reduce oil supply to the pump and contribute to cavitation. HF oil is also formulated with anti-sludge, anti-rust, anti-foam and anti-oxidation additives.
Fluid Condition Is Part of Hydraulic Maintenance
Even the correct hydraulic oil will degrade over time or become contaminated. Enerpac identifies darkened or sludgy oil, residue in the reservoir, foaming and a milky appearance as warning signs that hydraulic fluid may require attention. Dirt, moisture and air can all reduce the effectiveness of the oil and interfere with normal hydraulic-system operation.
Use the oil specified for the exact Enerpac equipment being serviced, follow the maintenance interval in the applicable product manual and keep new oil protected from contamination during handling and filling.
